Bruce Fredenburg, M.S., LMFT, with Board Certification in Clinical Hypnosis has been a California Licensed Marriage and Family therapist since 1982. Since 2003 he  has specialized in divorce related issues and blended families. He has extensive training in mediation and in the fully integrated interdisciplinary team model of collaborative practice, and has also trained in the one coach model. He is trained and experienced in the management of chronic pain, dealing with trauma, chemical dependency and addictions, and is a Level II EMDR therapist. Bruce has been a college level instructor in Human Services at Saddleback College and at National Medical Review School.

 

As one of the founding members of Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Orange County (CDSOC) in 2003, he serves as a Divorce Coach, Child Specialist (Adult and Minor) and Case Manager. Bruce has served in various capacities on the CDSOC Board of Directors including Chair of CDSOC’s Training and Education Committee, which provides monthly training for the practice group. He is on the Leadership Team for the Collaborative Divorce Education Institute, which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide excellent training for collaborative professionals as well as education for the public about peaceful and respectful solutions for families who are restructuring before, during and after the divorce process. As a Senior Trainer on CDEI’s Training Team he trains Attorneys, Mental Health Professionals and Financial Specialists in various aspects of Collaborative Divorce.

 

Bruce has been a presenter multiple times at the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Annual Forum and at CP Cal, California’s annual statewide conference for collaborative professionals and has appeared on the Time Warner Public television series “How to Get a Divorce”. Bruce was recruited to create and teach parenting classes for Adoptive and Foster Parents for County of Orange Social Services Agency. An award winning speaker, he has presented training programs for corporations, government agencies, schools, and professional associations since 1989.

 

He has published articles on Male-Female Communication for “Sharing Ideas,” a national magazine dedicated to professional speakers, trainers and meeting planners. In 1996, he was awarded Speaker of the Year by the Professional Speakers Network. In 2018 he was honored with the Eureka Award by CPCal, a statewide organization of Collaborative Attorneys, Mental Health Professionals and Financial Professionals. The Eureka Award recognizes and honors those who “have made significant contributions and demonstrated an abiding dedication to establishing and sustaining Collaborative Practice in California.”  Bruce is the author of several Audio Learning and Self-Help Programs, including “Men and Women: How to Understand Each Other,”Take the Pain Out of Change,” and “Profound Relaxation.”  Bruce’s most recent self-help programs, are “Sleep Solution” and “Anxiety Solution” available on AMAZON.
