Ellen Korman Mains is a meditation teacher, speaker, and author of the Amazon bestselling memoir “Buried Rivers: A Spiritual Journey into the Holocaust.” The daughter of Jewish Holocaust survivors from Poland, she began studying with a Tibetan Buddhist meditation master beginning at 19. She also trained for many years with the 20th Generation Bowmaker to the Emperor of Japan and became a teacher of the Japanese art of Kyudo (Zen Archery).

Ellen has led meditation retreats in North America and Europe, and has been an adjunct faculty member at Naropa University. She believes in the universality of spiritual principles and their relevance to society and she enjoys working with individuals and groups to increase self-awareness, tolerance, and compassion. Along with meditation, she also incorporates her training as an Inner Relationship Focusing guide.

Originally from Montreal, Canada, she spends the majority of her time in Boulder, Colorado, but travels frequently to Poland to engage with her ancestral history while forging friendships, teaching, and promoting dialog.
